Maui groms, mark your calendars! The Hoʻokipa Surfbash is back for its 37th edition, and it's HSA Maui's Event Number Three of the 2026/27 season.

About those alternate dates
The contest is planned for November 7 and 8. The following weekend, November 14 and 15, is a backup in case the surf or conditions don't cooperate. Unless HSA Maui announces a move, plan on the first weekend.
Before contest day
Watch HSA Maui's social media and LiveHeats page for heat sheets, start times and any change of dates.
Hoʻokipa can get busy. Give yourself extra time to park and check in, and watch for any parking notice from the organizers.
Pack sunscreen, water, snacks and shade for a long beach day.
