How the field is set

Every division fills a little differently. Some spots come from the 2025 and 2026 Pipeline rankings, some from trials, and some are wildcards.

Men's Open Pro: 96 spots

• 64 spots from the 2025 and 2026 Pipeline rankings (automatic invite)

• 12 regional spots from 5 regions around the world

• 8 IBC spots for the top 8 riders ranked after Fronton King

• 8 spots from the trials, held the week before Pipeline

• 4 wildcards picked by the organizer

Women's Open Pro: 32 spots

• 30 spots from the 2025 and 2026 Pipeline rankings

• 2 wildcards picked by the organizer

• No trials for Women's Open Pro

Jr. Open Pro: 16 spots

• 12 spots from the 2025 and 2026 Pipeline rankings

• 4 spots from the trials

• No wildcards

Masters: 6 spots

• All 6 spots come from the trials. No automatic invites, so every Masters rider has to go through trials.

Jr. Women's: 6 spots

• All 6 spots come from the trials. No automatic invites here either.

Trials at Sandy Beach

If you're chasing a Men's Open Pro, Jr. Open Pro, Masters or Jr. Women's spot without an invite, trials are your way in. They run February 11 to 16, 2027 at Sandy Beach, about a week before the Pipeline holding period opens. Watch @so_stoked_boogie_series_ for trial sign-ups and details.

Watching the event
